Like many of you, I was a lifelong Conservative voter. I believed in common sense, in country before party, and in the kind of government that respected the will of the people. But somewhere along the way, that trust was betrayed — not just by one party, but by the entire political establishment.

I spent much of my career working in the defence industry, where I saw first-hand how the UK was constantly held to a higher standard than our so-called EU partners. The only country playing by the rules was us. That was my wake-up call. When we were finally given the chance to leave the EU, I saw it as a moment of national renewal — but instead, the political elite spent years trying to overturn the decision. They’re still at it.

We’ve endured 14 years of broken Tory promises, and now we face a Labour Party all too willing to sell out our sovereignty to Brussels. Neither of them is prepared to fight for Britain. Both answer to global interests, not the British people. We are being governed by a “Uni-party” stitched together by out-of-touch MPs and a civil service that answers to no one. They waste your money, they ignore your voice, and they open our borders without accountability.

But for me, this is about more than politics — it’s personal.

I’ve lived in the Warsash area all my life. I’ve watched it change — and not for the better. Our local surgeries are overwhelmed. Our schools are stretched to breaking point. Housing developments go up like wildfire, yet there’s no plan to support them. No new roads. No new GP spaces. No real investment in the services we rely on. Just more empty promises from politicians who never had to live with the consequences.

That’s why I’m standing with Reform UK. Because we need bold voices who will speak the truth. Who will stand up for our communities. Who will put Britain — and the people who built it — first.
